Students took inspiration from different artist in this multi-step project. We started working toward a realistic self-portrait. Using that portrait, we looked at Pablo Picasso and his 'One-Liners' and drew a portrait using one line. The one line portrait drawing was converted into a block that was used to print our final abstract portraits. To color in the portraits, we took inspiration from Andy Warhol and his Pop Art portraits. The final pieces are below:
2nd hour artwork:8th hour artwork:Students created Op Art by focusing on color, value, pattern and contrast. They started by completing a line drawing of their shoe. Then separating the paper into 6 sections. Each section was devoted to a different element.
