We started this project by completing a realistic self-portrait drawing. Students then used their drawing to make a one line portrait drawing that was abstracted. Using the one line drawing they created a block that we printed their final pieces with. Take a look at their final colored prints and their realistic self-portrait drawings below:
8th graders were placed in groups and together brainstormed a new soft drink. Students individually had to come up with a logo, can/bottle, and a billboard to advertise their new product. Check them out below: 1st hour artwork:7th hour artwork:To start 4th quarter art class, 7th graders were introduced to the Elements of Art. We focused on color, line, value, shape, space, and texture. They completed a line drawing of the shoes they were wearing and separated their paper into six areas to then focus on one element within that section. Their finished artwork is below: 2nd hour artwork:8th hour artwork: |
